About

The Grammy Museum is thrilled to welcome Isaiah Rashad to the Museum's Ray Charles Rooftop Terrace for an evening discussing his latest album release, It's Been Awful, his creative process, and more, with a special performance. Attendees will have an opportunity to enjoy rooftop views, a café with food, and a cash bar prior to the program.  It’s Been Awful marks the moment Isaiah Rashad fully becomes his own genre. The Top Dawg Entertainment visionary returns with his third studio album on May 1, expanding his sonic world beyond hip-hop into cosmic jazz, psychedelic guitar rock, Soulquarian neo-soul, and flashes of genre-blurring experimentation. After five transformative years, Rashad delivers his most vulnerable and fully-realized work yet — an unfiltered reflection on addiction, growth, self-confrontation, and redemption. It’s soul music in its most metaphysical form, anchored by the same lyrical precision and emotional depth that have defined his artistry from the beginning. Since emerging from Chattanooga, TN in 2012, Rashad has built one of the most impactful and emotionally resonant catalogs in modern rap. His debut Cilvia Demo immediately established him as a critical force, followed by The Sun’s Tirade, which debuted in the Top 20 of the Billboard 200 and earned Gold certification. His 2021 album The House Is Burning further solidified his cultural imprint, amassing nearly one billion global streams and widespread acclaim for its introspective storytelling and sonic evolution. Across his career, Rashad has achieved multiple Gold and Platinum certifications, with standout records including “Wat’s Wrong” (feat. Kendrick Lamar & Zacari) and “Pretty Little Birds” (feat. SZA), while maintaining a loyal, cult-like fanbase drawn to his honesty and depth. Rashad has consistently pushed beyond trends to create timeless, deeply personal work. Now, with It's Been Awful, he enters a new chapter defined by clarity, confrontation, and creative rebirth - reaffirming his place not just in rap, but at the forefront of music's most compelling storytellers.  PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT DETAILS FOR THIS EVENT:

Before you go

A few honest notes about what this calendar is, and what it is not.

This calendar is for enjoyment

It is published for information and entertainment only, to help neighbors find something worth doing. It is not advice of any kind, and nothing on it forms an agreement between us.

We do not sell tickets

No ticket is ever sold here, and no booking or payment is taken. When a listing links out to tickets, that link goes to the organizer or their ticketing provider, and your purchase is entirely between you and them.

Please check before you set off

Listings are gathered automatically from public calendars and event feeds, and organizers change plans without telling us. Dates, times, prices, age limits and venues can all move, and events are sometimes cancelled. Always confirm the details on the organizer’s own page - which every listing links to - before traveling or spending money.

No endorsement, and no gatekeeping

Appearing here is not a recommendation. We do not vet, rate or endorse organizers, venues or performers, and we are not responsible for what happens at an event. Equally, we do not curate by viewpoint or belief, and nobody pays for a place on this calendar. We may highlight favorites now and then, and we will say so when we do. We remove a listing only when its source asks us to, or when it is unlawful.

You will not be chased about real estate

You will see the Holly & Chris Luxury Homes name here, because we publish this calendar for the communities we love. Browsing it does not add you to a mailing list, and nobody will ring you about your home because you looked up a concert. If you would ever like to talk real estate, though, we would genuinely love to hear from you - the number below is a standing invitation, never an obligation.

Spotted something wrong, or want your event corrected or removed? Please write to team@hollyandchrisluxuryhomes.com and we will put it right.

And if you simply want to say hello, call (818) 306-7901. You are always welcome.
